Social Media Disinformation at EU Elections - how to fight it?

18th May 9.00 CEST

Disinformation campaigns exploit the powerful means provided by online platforms to reach a wider audience through sophisticated organized hostile narratives.

In the discussion we will focus on the role of social media in disinformation, especially during the EU electoral campaign. Through that we will discuss the case of Italy in 2018.

Our interactive part of the discussion will hold two workshops to help you better understand disinformation.

In the end of the discussion we will give the recommendations and have a Q&A and ask the audience how they would react to disinformation in future.
